Counseling Services
Counseling Services supports student success by providing a licensed professional counselor who is available to discuss personal, social, educational, and career concerns. The counselor's purpose is to help students identify their educational goals, to facilitate their success in achieving these goals, and to provide professional assistance with obstacles encountered.

The counselor is located in Office # 437 in the South Building.
Who is the counselor?
The Student Counselor is LaShondra Manning. Ms. Manning received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and her Master of Arts Degree in Community Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University. Ms. Manning has experience working as a contract counselor with Marshall Independent School District and working as a counselor with troubled boys at Willowbend Residential Treatment Center. Ms. Manning is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.

Walk-in appointments and scheduled appointments are available. You can call extension 3309 from any campus phone. If you are not calling from campus, the number is: (903) 923-3309.

When can I see the counselor?
The Counselor is available from 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. Monday-Friday. The counselor's office is closed on any day that the college is closed such as holidays.

You can see the counselor for the following issues and others as needed:
- Personal issues
- Adjustment issues
- Drop & Add classes
- Non-Attendance issues
- Scholastic issues
- Suicidal or Homicidal ideations
- Success & Motivation skills
